“River”, 2023

"This work is the first “inspired” work I made after leaving Ukraine. I first made a plaster mold in Majorca. I deliberately leave the seams visible so that the seasoned observer can imagine or even retrace the creative process. Usually, I use the mold to create more complex decomposed compositions but, in creating this work, I I wanted the initial model to remain in history in its raw form. I tried to put sun, sea and peace in this sculpture."
